Christopher M Flatley

Lead Instructor

Christopher Flatley is a highly credentialed and experienced firearms and personal safety instructor dedicated to promoting responsible gun ownership and effective self-defense training.

As an NRA Certified Instructor, Christopher holds certifications in Basic Pistol, Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW), Rifle, Shotgun, Defensive Pistol, Defensive Rifle, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, and Refuse to Be a Victim®. He is also an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer and a certified Simunition® Instructor, bringing advanced safety and tactical experience to his courses. He is also a NextLevelTraining Affiliate Instructor, furthering his commitment to high-quality, standards-based training.

Christopher is an approved instructor for multiple state-approved training programs, including the New York 16+2 CCW Course, New Jersey CCW Course, Utah CCW Course, and the Massachusetts Firearms Safety Course.

His practical experience extends into high-stress and tactical disciplines: Christopher has taught courses in Close Quarters Battle (CQB), night vision operations, use of force and the force continuum, and active shooter response—equipping students with realistic, scenario-based skills and decision-making under pressure.

Beyond firearms instruction, he is a certified Stop the Bleed Instructor, a Sabre Personal Safety Instructor, and a Scouting America–approved Firearms Instructor and Counselor, reflecting a broad commitment to personal safety, emergency response, and youth education.

With years of hands-on experience teaching concealed carry, defensive, and tactical courses, Christopher’s teaching style is professional, practical, and safety-focused. His mission is to ensure every student leaves his class with the knowledge, confidence, and mindset to be a responsible, capable, and well-prepared gun owner and community member.
